I Miss You [보고싶어요]

Synopsis / In this autobiographical animation, I trace my reaction to finding an old cassette recording of my grandfather speaking about growing up in the Korean War. Through this recording, I attempt to reunite with my grandfather, who passed away when I was just a child. As his story begins, my grandfather’s voice brings memories of war, tragedy, and heartbreak to life.

How I Met Fred

Synopsis / Fred is a duck made of wire, receipts, old string, and all things unwanted. He finds himself alone in a deserted landscape, with nothing alive for miles. Then, Fred unexpectedly runs into a house emanating warm light, warm like he’s never seen in this world.
